I was in the PI on the island of Negros when this began. A Chinese couple stayed at a hotel a few miles from me - the husband died of Covid in Mamila a few days later. No one died from Covid on our island. Early one there was a deviation between Western Medical Science and Asian Medical Science. Western Science seemed to focus on Covid being on surfaces, you touch the surface and touch your mouth or your nose. Asian Science was - it's airborne, you inhale it, it's killed/hindered by sunlight, humidity, and heat, wear masks, avoid crowds. Japan came up with the three Cs, avoid closed spaces, crowded places, and close contact, and they are a mask culture - so that's not imposition. Air conditioning helps transmit Covid.

There's no arguing that the Chinese method of shutting down was very successful, but finally the population resisted and that was dropped.

As far as lab leak goes - it's still unlikely, the likely vector is still animal - racoon dogs, etc., and the Wuhan Market. Lab leak is unlikely and will remain unlikely. It doesn't matter that Trump is pandering to you on a website, and I stopped watching John Campbell when he wandered off the deep end and became a questionable source.
