LurkerMom: I have scantly followed the Jan 6 whatever you want to call it (I don't care). To me it was/is just another boring left wing witch hunt and I wasn't going to waste my time on it, letting the left knock their brains out over it. Whatever will become of J6 will be just another chapter of Trump derangement syndrome to me.
And there it is: the Trump Cult is irretrievably lost, soulless, conscienceless, and morally bereft.
On January 6, Trump encouraged his cult to march to the Capitol and stop the steal, to prevent the peaceful transfer of power to the newly elected president after lying to his cult for weeks that the election had been 'stollen' (Trump never provided a single shred of evidence that the election was anything other than free and fair). Otherwise, he told them, we would not have a country any longer.
Trump had repeatedly badgered his vice president in the weeks leading up to January 6 to refuse to certify the electoral votes of several states. Pence tried. Pence tried every way possible but in the end concluded he was unable to comply with Trump's demand. He told Trump he could not comply. As the attack on the Capitol continued, when it became clear that Pence was not rejecting the electoral ballots on January 6, Trump informed his cult that the vice president had failed them, had failed to do his duty. As the cult chanted "Hang Mike Pence!" Trump did nothing to stop them.
Yet the Trump cult insists that the attack on democracy led by a sitting president is a "left wing witch hunt", nothing more than "Trump derangement syndrome". Impartial juries have sent hundreds to prison, most after pleading guilty as charged.

Well, today is September 24, almost nine months later. So how did that work out for Gosar? McCarthy has given his committees free rein and what have they come up with so far?
Nothing.
And did Gosar, like Trump, suggest that Milley should be executed?
No.

No, it's nothing like that.
Instead, it's like saying that "commonone's left wing posts are treasonous and in the past we dealt with treason by execution".

Discussion? Like I said: it's impossible to have a rational discussion with anyone in the Trump Cult; they are irretrievably lost.
