Just saw a blurb she passed.
Certainly on many philosophical things I can't say I'm a Carter guy.
But I honestly feel it's an unimpeachable statement that in my lifetime, President Carter was the most honest man in that office and it was always heartwarming to see him and the First Lady on CSPAN (when I used to care) at new Presidential library ceremonies, etc.
I feel bad that he is now here without her but late 90s, heck, not a bad run at all.
I forget if it was someone's inauguration or a library but it was pouring rain. Not in any way casting aspersions on any other President or First Lady....but I watched how President Carter was the only one to brush the water off the seat before Mrs Carter sat down.
Hope my little girl has that one day.
Anyhow..... eras continue to end. Torches continue to be passed.
If anyone up there is reading no, I'm not asking to leave anytime soon.
But - part of me is so glad I grew up back then and not now. Certainly I'm passed the halfway mark.....sort of doesn't bother me at all.
On a side note - movie, ARGO- re Carter Iran - good stuff.
