If a person is in the country illegally in violation of immigration laws they are subject to being detained, possibly apprehended, and possibly deported by immigration authorities.

They "deserve" this treatment simply because they are in the country illegally. Obviously they could have left the country any time voluntarily and they chose not to. O.K.

Or, they could have chosen not to violate immigration law in the first place.

If they were infants or small children illegally imported by their parents, that's the parents' fault for bringing them in illegally, or overstaying a visa, or any other reason the child might be illegally present in the USA.

So, yes, the child "deserves" to be deported also. Don't like it? Blame the parent(s) or other person who got them into the country illegally.
