We know that Joe Biden can read from a teleprompter. Notice how he quickly left the podium and didn't take questions from the press. Can he think on his feet? He really needs to be tested for that, with the results made public.
On that I can agree. Biden is still being shielded from interacting in an impromptu manner with anyone. That needs to be remedied ASAP, either by weekly hour long press conferences, or by no-preconditions interviews with the mainstream media, including Fox News, and ideally all of the above. Sure, take until July 7 to "rest, recover and regroup", but then get to the business of providing some assurance to the American people that there is still a competent president in this 81 year old stiff shell.
The time for hiding Biden away from scrutiny is over. Either man up or pass the baton.
And, finally, perhaps we really do need a Hail Mary option now, in order to avoid a protracted "Heil, mein Führer!" future
