And then they can go back to yanking DJT around, knowing they've got him whipped and he's not going to be able to restart the fighting anywhere close to prior levels.

Not just the Felon. Future POTUSes for the foreseeable future (whether MAGA or not).

It's a loose parallel, but it seems like a country that had very little military (and little interest in the affairs of others), but when attacked became a global superpower in response. Iran isn't like to become a superpower, but they have a lot more power than they did a few months ago.
