Agreed. And anyone planning to run in 2026 and 2028 needs to be a lot more careful about this topic than anyone on this board.

To me, he was a victim of one of his talking points. He said (paraphrasing) that some lives had to be sacrificed to preserve the 2nd Amendment. I'm sure he didn't plan his being one of them. But it was. If he wasn't a hypocrite, he should be "OK" with it (were he somewhere that he can be aware of anything).

It was a needless, and pointless, death that shouldn't have happened. I hope they got the right perp, and he spends the rest of his life in prison. I don't condone what happened in the slightest.

IMO, you should be looking to what public figures are saying. Newsome, O'Rourke (is he completely retired now?), Buttigieg, or any others I haven't heard of or can't think of. What are they saying, and are they sabotaging any future run for POTUS? None of our board members -to my knowledge- matter in the slightest in that regard.
