No one claims it's the cause of all ills. I'm pointing out that if we hadn't adopted the two massive tax reductions - both within the last 25 years - then our fiscal house would be in much better shape.

You’re making an assumption and stating it as fact while using both to drive your entire argument.

In reality you have no idea what would have happened because you’re waving away 20+ years of other decisions that could have been made by Congress and the President.

How do you that we wouldn’t have Medicare Parts E-ZZ by now? Or that some other programs would have eaten up the “extra” revenue?

The left always has a stilted view of taxation choosing to tax the most productive elements of society at every point regardless of the economic situation.

Claiming that spending choices from decades ago are the cause of all ills is not a great argument. It's just not backed up by reality.
