Results with a stock screener include some REIT and UTF. Should these be excluded?

Bearing in mind that the choice of universe makes a huge difference to the end result, especially in the case of VL's "Return on Shareholders Equity" field...

Yes, my screen as defined will allow REITs to be picked sometimes.
It picked RHP in January, for example.

It should not pick any type of fund (VL calls them investment companies these days), as VL doesn't think it meaningful to provide an ROE figure.

The January picks were mostly pretty diversified.
Integrated Oil figured prominently, as you might expect these days. 5 of the 30 picks.
3 Household products, 2 grocery, and every one of the remaining 20 picks was the only one in its industry.
