We seldom look for our glasses. We always have them on our faces. They're progressives, so for all distances. Occasionally, we misplace sunglasses. But that's not common. I leave my sunglasses either in my little pack, or in the car. I only lose them if 1poorlady is trying to be helpful and picks them up. Her purse is a black hole where things can get lost for a while. :-)
At some point (probably in about 5 years), the ophthalmologist has said I will need cataract surgery. I suspect I will opt for my current situation (myopia). I'm used to it, and will need progressive regardless. Close-up focus is fine. 1poormom opted for one eye myopia and one eye hypermetropia. Apparently the brain can adjust to that after a few weeks. But that still doesn't eliminate the need for glasses, so why do that?
