Not at all what I meant, and clear from context. You said that a fully sovereign Palestinian state was never offered. I said that one was offered in 1947. I should have used the phrasing that had the 1947 division been "accepted," rather than "honored" - my mistake, since I had just come off an exchange with flightdoc where we were both using that term in another context. There was an opportunity in 1947 to establish a fully sovereign Palestinian (then described as "Arab") state that would have had none of the disabilities or encumbrances that later efforts involved. It was not accepted. In no way was that deceitful - it was an open and forthright rejection of the proposed partition. But it was offered.
