Absolutely!

Yesterday Ms. Wolf and I went to our second protest this year, this time in Canandaigua, NY. Canandaigua is a beautiful small city (Pop. around 10,000). The protest was at the intersection of Main St. and Routes 5 & 20, so there was lots of traffic.

I’m estimating between 500 and a 1,000. Hard to say because I couldn’t see everyone as it was spread out. It’s a large intersection. Lots of waving, honking, and thumbs up’s. Of course, we had the occasional thumbs down and the middle finger salute. I just blew back kisses or gave them the peace sign.

I also saw the funniest sign I’ve seen so far. The woman and I exchanged pictures of our signs and I told her I was stealing her sign for the next protest.

One of the highlights was watching a large pick up truck (in the left lane) tailgating (and I mean tailgating) someone waving at the signs. As soon as he could, the truck gunned his engine, cut off another car in the right lane, and raced down 5 & 20. Within seconds, another car was on his tail and all of a sudden the lights were flashing. Yep, an unmarked police car. Loved it.

We love going to protests, which are among our many forms of resistance.
