made the comments when speaking about the upcoming election.Grothman said Trump “was concerned about the election in Milwaukee” and
said he thought Trump “felt we need to do better in urban centers around the country.” He suggested Trump had concerns that Republicans “didn’t do very well in Milwaukee.”
U.S. Rep. Derrick Van Orden said Dementia Don was "specifically
referring to the CRIME RATE in Milwaukee."
Republican U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, who represents the state's 1st Congressional District,
said Trump never mentioned anything about Milwaukee but later changed his story, saying Dementia Don "was talking about specific issues in" Milwaukee."
A convention spokeswoman told a reporter from CBS58 Dementia Don
was referring to an ongoing debate over where protests should be allowed to occur in the city during the July convention.
The simple fact that republicans cannot get on the same page and get their story straight is pretty clear evidence Dementia Don called Milwaukee 'a horrible city.'
Billboards have already gone up in the city and surrounding areas with Dementia Don's mug on them and his quote as reported by The Milwaukee Sentinel: "Milwaukee, where we are having our convention, is a horrible city":
