So, I'm watching the hearing on C-SPAN, and it is painful. Nathan Wade (Willis' romantic interest) is coming off as not very forthcoming with info and "difficult". It's not a good look. He is a special prosecutor himself of course, so this could be just the way he is: nitpicking every little thing. The judge doesn't seem inclined to grant Willis' team any concessions, but I have no idea how this will all play out.

Wow, I thought Nathan Wade was a difficult witness. That's nothing compared to Fani Willis herself! Nothing was ever a simple answer with her. She had to inject some - often irrelevant - context and life story narration into every answer. The judge certainly gave her quite a lot of leeway however, despite a few warnings.

I'm pissed at Willis.
Such an incredibly important case and she risked it?

I am too. Waiting to see whether she survives this. But the readout I get is that his credentials aren't good enough for the case. If that's so, I'm not happy.

Yeah, me too. The testimony by both Willis and Wade sure made it seem like they were trying to obfuscate the facts, often "protesting too much" for credibility.
I have seen many people defending them both, particularly Willis, who evidently is reacting just how any other "proud, strong, self-made black woman" would act when confronted with accusations such as these.
I can't read the judge at all and have NO IDEA how he will rule. Worst case is that Fani and her entire team are disqualified and the case is assigned to someone else who decides that the case not even worthy of prosecution. Second worst case is that Willis and team are gone but the case remains, and there is a delay of several months.
Thank god that this isn't the only lawsuit Trump faces.

And today, at least we have a very refreshing change: Fani Willis' father John Floyd is testifying and he is extremely sympathetic, persuasive, credible and a welcome change from Fani herself. Floyd is quite an interesting guy too, with a long and complex life story!
