Was this a mutiny, or a fight among crewmen? There was a race riot on the Kitty Hawk, offshore Nam. About 200 participants and 50 injured that time. Sticks in my mind that the captain of a USN destroyer off of Nam was relieved by junior officers, because he had gone insane, but I can't find anything on it right now.

Recall, our troops in Iraq had long deployments too. They would serve their tour, then be extended, then extended again. The longest deployment in Iraq was 22 months, by the 1st Armored Brigade, of the 34th Division. I'm sure management saw them as expendable Prole meat too.
