Rupert Murdoch is a stupendously wealthy man because he has a devious and effective business model:

Rich people convince biddable people that their real economic enemy is brown people.

Unfortunately, bigotry is not an economic solution to the unprecedented concentration of wealth at the very top, so you have to yell nonstop to keep them distracted.

Which Fox News successfully does.
