I'm pretty sure they can't compel you to inform them whether you have biomarker unlocking. They can try it, and they can require you to do the things that would unlock the phone if they're enable (like put your finger on the scanner), but they can't make you answer their questions.
Ok. So, they can "do experiments" (like test whether your fingers or face unlocks your phone) to determine the contents of your mind, but they can't force you to reveal it directly. Just like they could try to brute force unlock your phone by trying many different passcodes. But that's essentially "breaking into your phone" against your will. Probable cause? Still don't like it, but that's the law it seems.
