We all know about Russian hackers who have penetrated American businesses and hospitals, blocking access to data bases and holding those companies for ransom. We alo know about the potential for societal disruption that cyberwarriors can inflict- penetrating and disrupting power grids, taking control of computer control systems and grinding entire societies to a halt.

So why did Donald Trump order a halt to all cyber warfare and cyber defense activities aimed at Russia?

Is it really only about allowing Russian troll farms to better support Donald Trump with their disinformation?

Really- that should be the least of our concerns at this point. Trump’s greenlight to Russia opens the floodgates to more serious intrusions.

And we just disarmed ourselves.
