Many here are heavily concentrated in Berkshire. Of course, Berkshire as a conglomerate, is orders of magnitude more diversified than IBM. Still, it makes you wonder: on unexpected, company-specific bad news, how much would Berkshire decline? Not as part of a broader, market-wide drop caused by an exogenous event, but rather on company-specific news like what happened to IBM today. Listing the kinds of negative surprises that could potentially occur may help us be better prepared if any were to actually materialize.
