OK look, we're almost neighbors.
Difference is in my state, our colleges are better. Our incomes are higher. Our education levels are higher than yours are in Arizona. We send the income taxes to Washington DC, so the government can turn around and give it to states like Arizona. Point being, you need to listen to us.
Your state has done ok but lets face it, its because people moved there because - well - your state is a cheap place to live. But beyond that, it's us in California who have Google, Apple, and so many of the Big Technology Companies that are pretty much in charge of the country. It would do you well to follow our example and just do like we tell you to do.
Our state will be voting for Kamala Harris and Arizona, you better do the same thing. Your need a $15.00 minimum wage and Kamala will give it to you. Kamala will also give you a voucher to go to community college and get retrained for a green-job. Kamala will also keep ABORTION LEGAL which is good, because you people with bigger families are costing us money via public schools, more fossil fuel use, etc.
So Arizona, just do like I'm telling you. Do like California - a state that actually counts--- and vote Kamala. You are a poorer state, and Kamala cares for people like you. Trump doesn't. And you Hispanic Males thinking of voting Trump - you can't be Latino AND a Trump supporter so just vote Kamala, she'll be better for your kind of voter too. You especially need that $15.00 wage so you can't vote Trump either. If you Latinos in Arizona have trouble using the ballot, Kamala will have helpers there to help you.

Most of the other stuff you said isn't correct. While we may be cheaper than CA, we aren't cheap. And we are a home to Big Tech also (often called "Silicon Desert"). Though, yes, we do take more federal dollars than most states. In part because we have low taxes due to tax cuts for the rich. Also, many corporations pay near-zero taxes, even as we are booming (Intel has built, and is building, some monster fabs in south Chandler; housing has been crazy for a while, and very little of it is "low income housing"). At least CA is sensible in that they realize you need taxes to pay for stuff. It's very difficult to raise taxes here, which is why a lot of communities have to issue bonds instead.
If I was motivated, I could probably hunt this down: Does the federal dollars coming into AZ include our various federal facilities? We have a lot of international border, we have two air force bases, and I have no idea how many missile silos. Also, do dollars funneled to reservations count? We have a LOT of native reservations (in terms of quantity, and percent of state land).
Yes, as you may have predicted, I also voted for protecting abortion in the state constitution, and I decided to swing in favor of the ranked voting proposition. I voted against the proposition that would allow paying food service workers less than minimum.
