Not so much a missing board, but is it possible to create a dark background? Sometimes this background can be very bright. My browser otherwise has a dark theme, so clicking on this tab really can be jolting going from a dark theme to bright white.

Don't know how easy it would be to toggle the option (since I'm sure some people prefer the bright background).
