What convoluted logic leads to that conclusion from a mistrial?
I say again: the jury was interviewed by both sides, seated, both sides presented their case, and those 12 people weighed the arguments. They couldn't agree, so "mistrial". That's how the system is supposed to work, as designed in part by the Founders.
How is that "liberals are soft on crime"? That's a complete non sequitur.
