Yes, their automated bad word filters were pretty silly. I tried to have a discussion at the old fool.com about a fine company called Alimentation Couche-Tard (roughly, "Night Owl Foods" in French), and it had to be referred to as The Company That Can Not Be Named. Imagine the reaction I got from using the word niggardly in front of an audience who didn't know what it meant, nor what it was (and wasn't) etymologically related to. It means "miserly", and has been in use for about 700 years.
