Let’s start with the two most important demographic segments who voted against Mamdani: Jews and Catholics. Jews voted for Cuomo over Mamdani by a margin of 63 percent to 33 percent; Catholics split the vote 53 to 33 percent, respectively.As suggested some time ago, I noticed the mobs and the enthusiasm when Bernie ran. Maybe "democratic socialism" is the right recipe for running against rampant corporatist corruption, dressed up as racial and religious bigotry?
