This one is getting more interesting every day. I'm sure the motion for contempt is forthcoming today, and I hope it includes subpoenas for some actual officials to appear in court and testify as to those questions. If they're not going to tell their lawyer, she'll drag their butts into court and ask them directly. And I really hope she's ready to toss some folks in jail until they comply. Let's hold some feet to the fire and get answers.

All well and good, but what power do courts have to actually enforce anything? Precious little, I think.

But I have to ask the obvious: if the gov't admitted they made a mistake in deporting Abrego-Garcia, why the hell don't they just bring him back? All the talk of being unable to since he's now outside the jurisdiction of the U.S. is utter BS. All it would take is one call from Trump or Rubio to Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele to return him on the next flight or else the 6 million they are giving him would be revoked. Why the hell don't just they end this lunacy and get him back?
