Minorities don’t need to “pop up” for the Democrats because they’re already an integral part of the team.

That's the default assumption, that minorities would just be democrats because the racist lily white old white white white white GOP was going to die off or something.

But then a funny thing happened: turns out minorities...kinda like a lot of the thing in the GOP platform. They like a government that doesn't tell them what to do 24/7. They think they know better than the government how to spend their own money and they like keeping more of it. They think that families are important and that familiar culture is important.

And a raft of other things. Poor Ruy Texeira. His whole thesis evaporated because he assumed that skin color trumped everything.
