Lol.
The Army “hit” their goals by putting more kids into their Delayed Entry program. In other words they’re counting kids who aren’t old enough yet:

https://www.army.mil/article/280028/army_exceeds_f...

The Army will achieve at least 55,300 total accessions for FY24 and will place approximately 11,000 Soldiers in the Delayed Entry Program for FY25. By comparison, the Army achieved 50,181 accessions in FY23 and added 4,661 in the Delayed Entry Program.

In other words they’re using an accounting trick to “pre-book” some “sales”.

And oh, yeah - they hit their lowered target:
https://www.defenseone.com/policy/2024/09/increase...

Last year—fiscal 2023—the service recruited 50,181 soldiers against a “stretch goal” of 65,000, as Army Secretary Christine Wormuth put it, with 4,611 signing up for deferred entry. At the time, the Army presented the Delayed Entry Program numbers as part of its overall recruiting contracts, leading to reporting that the Army had hit 55,000 contracts.

In 2022, the Army recruited 44,901 new members, well short of its goal of 60,000.

Meanwhile, keep making it personal. It does so much for your arguments…as in, makes them weak.

Toodles!
