Germany has been run by the Davos types ever since the Cold War ended. They took one look at their birth rates and said, "I've got an idea - let's import migrant workers! That'll fix everything - we'll put them to work and they'll be so grateful they'll vote for us, too! Win-win!"

It's the same sad logic the democrats here use.

Unfortunately, the WEF types just don't have a clue when it comes to understanding culture, especially their own. Germans (and in face, all of Europe) don't have any track record of assimilation. Not one single european country is good at it. Immigrants tend to cluster in their own groups, they aren't officially welcomes or integrated into european society...and so they stay who they are. That's fine if you're importing somebody who largely acts and thinks like you do and shares much of your values (as you see in the United States with migrants from Mexico and Central America, who are strong in their religious beliefs and family structures and have strong work ethics). But when they don't share your values and you tell them they're only there to do jobs the natives can't do...they tend to get resentful.

And so it is all over europe. The Davos types piledrove their economies so the natives lose jobs and then threw open their borders to dilute the economic pool even further. Academic elitist rule at its finest and now they're in the end stage of leftism where they decide that instead of admitting mistakes and cleaning up the mess it's better to blame the people you screwed over with the bad policies and crack down on them.
