(trade with Europe suffered while those amazing new trade deals somehow never materialized)

The UK expected trade with the EU to be replaced by an "arty" deal with the US. But such and "arty" deal with Lord Trump would depend on how hard the Brits are willing to be rogered.

Of course Farage maintained that was not a function of Brexit, but of Brexit not having been executed ‚hard enough‘…

That's the same excuse offered when the supposed benefits of "supply side economics" do not reach the Proles: they having given enough to the "JCs" yet. Give the poor, struggling, Billionaires yet more tax cuts, subsidies, and protection from competition, and surely, the benefits will begin to flow, we are, repeatedly, assured.
