In thread https://www.shrewdm.com/MB?pid=168662106 there was interest in tracking "MSCI World EX-US Equal Weight Index" for those wanting broad, equal weight, ex-US exposure. Discussion ensued of whether or not an existing ETF does this, I gather 'not'.

"Direct Indexing":
Fidelity, Schwab, others do 'direct indexing' where you specify some desired index and they do the rebalancing etc for you to make it happen. Of interest to U.S. investors is they also include 'tax loss harvesting' see e.g.
https://www.schwab.com/learn/story/tax-advantages-...
Schwab says this can generate 1 to 2 percentage points of after-tax returns for high net worth investors and investors with substantial capital gains. This might be sufficient to offset a brokerage fee of around half a percent.

Caveat: I have no direct knowledge about this, if of interest pls do your own due diligence.

Apology: This is actually on topic (:->
