The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

per request below from macro board.

First Republic Bank was 'too good to fail' with highest customer NPS for years. enraptured partners.
99% of shareholders got killed. only jpm benefits years later from getting many HNW clients very cheaply.

i'm kinda interested in anecdotes/memories about times when this happened to you:
- You realised something particular was wrong with a company, main product, sector, CEO, economy, country or whatever
- In hindsight, you totally nailed it with your forecast - 100% right
- But in the moment, you didn't act, you figured it would maybe work out OK, you decided that maybe you were over-reacting, the hassle of doing a trade outweighed your concern
The key thing I'm looking for is that you understood the problem, but inaction won out over action.
Any interesting anecdotes?
