I think Lizzy Warren makes a few good points

I'm not like You People where I have to 100% embrace or 100% despise a politician. People like me - the 5% of us capable of nuance are able to look for ourselves, and make up our own minds. Hence a few of these ideas - are not my cup of tea but I feel at very least deserve a serious looking at by the powers that be

"The biggest cost-saving idea in Warren’s letter is to preserve $200 billion by renegotiating Defense contracts. She points to an Inspector General report from 2011 that found contractors regularly hike prices for the military. One egregious example includes the Air Force overpaying 7,943% on soap dispensers."

In my previous life I did lots of business in the Washington DC Metro Area and many of these Defense Contractor types------man they are swimming in money to a level waaaaaaay beyond the usual 401K toting putz. Many are so aloof they literally have no clue how much or what they are spending on-----and this is in their PERSONAL dealings. LOL it's part of the reason I retired way early.

Some things - we're *never* gonna cut. Playing World Cop means defense spending - mores than spending on roads or kids. Being Israel's mule brings with it expenses and obligations. And yeah, government, many of them are dumb campus bred 401K types that are easy to rip off in so many ways.

BUT, Senator Warren has written down a few real suggestions here.

I hope some are taken seriously because one day, you people will be forced to cut stuff that you actually care about.
