...I wondered what will get the US off of this trajectory. I'm still wondering.
I'm guessing it will be getting our asses handed to us. We're burning through allies. How many supported us over Iran? Not many. Venezuela? Nobody, as I recall. Cuba? We'll be going it alone there, too.
We made little difference in Venezuela, we're losing Iran, and we've already been through this with Cuba once before (under Kennedy).
Face it. We're losers, with a loser POTUS. Our military is first-rate, but their political leadership is utterly incompetent. So, we're well on the way to getting our asses handed to us. Maybe like Germany and Japan, we'll end up with a better system on the other side of that ass-handing.
