So Canada introducing export taxes would be like Canada simply reciprocating with countervailing duties, which just makes everything more broken.
The discussion on export taxes seemed to be centered around short term applications to improve negotiations on trade conditions. Also heavily dealing with avoiding trade with the US as much as possible going forward.
Trump respects a blunt display of force, but I find myself wondering if like so many of us, the Canadian Gov't is waiting to see what happens with midterms, while quietly working in the background with their moves towards trade diversification. Will the US be able to claw it's adherence to the Constitution back?
