The Trump Cult is willing to destroy America's leadership in scientific research in exchange for seeing the people they hate get hurt.

Simpletons. They don't understand, and therefore they think it's useless. I don't think it is "woke", per se. Just getting at the pointy-heads for their "high-falootin' brainiac stuff that is stupid". Long term, we will pay a heavy price as the rest of the world surges ahead of us.**

**Just look at CERN. We were building the SCSC, and Reagan canceled it. Then CERN took the reins, and now it's not likely we will ever catch up. The epicenter of particle physics could have been in TX, but is now in Switzerland. But it was "useless pointy-head stuff", so now it's gone from our shores.
