The same thing has happened to food companies because of GLP weight loss drugs. Many companies (CPB, GIS, ADM) have share prices that have fallen 30% over the past 2 years, some have fallen more than 50%. Well-known names. All of them are reinvesting like crazy to generate new growth. IMHO. it is too soon to tell if the falling stock prices are based on sentiment, or declining fundamentals that investment in new products will not be able to fix. But people gotta eat, so I am nibbling at some of these KHC, CAG, MKC - no pun intended - but not investing with any conviction.
