But this is not “mildly bad news”. This is a declaration of economic war against the rest of the world (except for Russia).

In their little private chit-chats I think Putin has convinced Trump to think that Russia and the US could divide the western world up into spheres of influence.

Trump isn't just stupid, he's dangerously stupid. And he has put an administration in place that will not oppose any of his idiotic ideas. The Republican Congress and the party as a whole are completely in his thrall.
