I'm not sure how to categorize the PRC system. There are definitely elements of capitalism. It is certainly not a democracy. Benign monarchy? It certainly has its flaws and oppressions, but living in a glass house, I decline to hurl stones.
If the only metric is general beneficence bestowed on its citizens, the PRC is not doing terribly. Another useful metric is investment in infrastructure that is widely useful to citizens. Beats us hands down there.
Before I am invited to move there, I must confess, I speak not even one of the countless Chinese dialects.
