The week's question
In December 2024, in the thread "Re: BRK: Why Not XOM?", BreckHutHigh asked the members: "What about the long road trips with kids?" This week it is put to everyone again. The button below opens the small thread re-asking it - read what others have said so far, then give your own answer as an ordinary reply.

The following is not a recommendation, but rather a list of companies, world-wide, which stand to benefit from an increasing attention towards building additional electrical infrastructure to handle an increase in AI, EV's, crypto-currency generation, not to mention the eventual rebuilding of Ukraine:

swx:ABBN Abb Ltd N -- Switzerland
swx:ACLN Accelleron Industries AG -- Switzerland
epa:LR Legrand(Paris)-- France
etr:PFSE Pfisterer Holding SE -- Germany
PHG Koninklijke Philips N.V. Ny Reg -- Netherlands
SIEGY Siemens Ag -- Germany
SBGSY Schneider Electric Se-- France
EMR Emerson Electric Company -- United States
ETN Eaton Corporation, Plc -- United States
ROK Rockwell Automation, Inc. -- United States
HUBB Hubbell Inc -- United States
HON Honeywell International Inc. -- United States
JCI Johnson Controls International -- United States
TEL Te Connectivity Ltd. New Switze -- Switzerland
APH Amphenol Corporation -- United States

Disclosure: I own all of the above as individual issues, the first four on their native exchanges (in their native currencies). Since I first posted this list here a while back (probably a couple of years ago, all of them have done quite well. They are not as sexy as AI, but probably less subject to volatility. To answer the question, in advance, why I own so many issues? I'm not smart enough to decide which of these will beat the others in competition (frankly many tend to be symbiotic), but I'm pretty sure that, as a group, they will do fine.

For whatever its worth, it's a curated list which might be worth studying for consideration if it meets your criteria.

Jeff
