There's no hint that Johnson had any idea that Trump opposed the bill, or that he wanted the debt ceiling addressed.

To be fair to Trump, he couldn’t have communicated it to Johnson because Trump’s owner, Musk, didn’t tell Trump what he was supposed to think. Trump was waiting for orders from the top.
