tossing the "woke" generals or the ones that didn't have their tongues up the regime's ass enough - and again I know some of the casualties of this.

I’ve commented before that the military leadership has been hollowed out. Generals have been fired, and further down the officer ranks, people have followed the tradition of resigning when they disagree with civilian leadership.

That has left the military with leadership that largely agrees with Trump. It’s no longer crazy to think that the military could follow illegal orders from the White House. It may be down to the enlisted ranks to hold that line.

Hopefully it will never come to that. And it probably won’t. But I can no longer rule out the military being used against its own citizens.
