And he can’t read either
He can read, alright, albeit at an elementary level.
But it’s hard for him, and usually sends him into a narcoleptic snooze.
Unless the subject can be condensed into a 15 second read- he’s gone.
How do I know about the 15 second limit?
Because he speaks in simplistic soundbites. A long speech for him is reading from a teleprompter. But he easily gets bored with reading what others wrote for him to say, and you can tell where he jumps the shark, because he starts stringing together soundbites, unconnected except that most of them are all about him, and most of them- we’ve already heard.. over and over.
The nearest analogy I can give for his pattern of speech is one of those magic eight balls from decades ago. Shake it, and a phrase comes to the surface. Shake it again and the phrase is randomly replaced by another.
Soon enough, you realize that the damned thing only has about 20 phrases that are endlessly and randomly repeated.
When he reaches the end of one short clip, he shakes the eightball and the next pearl of wisdom randomly appears on his lips.
