Children in Florida will no longer be required to receive vaccines against preventable diseases including measles, mumps, chicken pox, polio and hepatitis said Joseph Ladapo, the state’s surgeon general, on Wednesday in a speech during which he likened vaccine mandates to “slavery”.

Then this is one of the few things DeSantis has done that's really stupid. Measles? Come on.

Polio they don't give out shots for any more IIRC and chicken pox isn't anything to be afraid of (although you are at risk for shingles later, which reminds me, I need my shingles vaccine now that I'm over 50).

This is an example of a counter-reaction that defies the actual science, and it's too bad.
