Governor Noem, in her new book, the ironically titled "No Going Back," recounted that former governor Nikki Haley placed a threatening phone call to her. The Haley camp said the claim was "just plain weird."

Noem also claimed she met with Kim Jong Un.

Now Noem's camp is invoking the Charles Barkley defense: She was misquoted in her own autobiography.

She is blaming her ghostwriter and editor for errors in her book about meeting Kim Jong Un and the year she had an allegedly threatening call with Nikki Haley.

How Trumpian.

Well, semi-Trumpian.

Full Trumpian is to never admit errors.

Semi-Trumpian is to never accept responsibility.

So Noem only made it half-way to the Veep slot.

Too bad, so sad.
