Sounds like the beginnings of a movie plot. Old man wakes up to find he's dead, no one will pay attention. All his money is frozen and clawed back. Social security is too busy, sheriff isn't interested, social worker doesn't believe him, he goes home to find he's locked out and the apartment is empty. He lives on the street, panhandles,beat up by thugs and it get worse and worse. Finally he robs a store to get arrested, but he's not caught. So he robs again. Then meets and falls in with some hackers, and helps them steal bitcoin from criminals. Insert obligatory romance. Finally they set up a fake identity for him and he gets social security, medicare, a pension, and a half million in a brokerage account and lives happily as this fake person.
