The Government has asked us to stay the injunction, arguing that it is likely to succeed on the merits of its jurisdictional argument, that the injunction is causing it irreparable harm, and that the equities do not favor leaving the injunction in place while the Government’s appeal is pending. We agree and grant the stay.Without reading the entire thing, I don't know on what grounds the jurisdictional argument is being made. I can see the Federal government's argument about "irreparable harm", in that people the regime doesn't want voting might vote. If Congress properly addressed the issue, rather than the regime issuing an EO, there would not be any question, as the Constitution makes clear.
Of course, Trump, flapping his yap incessantly, says out loud the intent of the SAVE Act. Whether he is right, or this is just another "JC" delusion is another matter.
