Progressives are a minor faction of the party out of power.
Perhaps, but El-Sayed is a progressive, and the Democratic nominee for Senate in a major swing state. He's not a minor figure. It's just as within the pale for Jewish leaders who are concerned about how his attitudes and statements affect American Jews to push back on them as it was for Palestinian groups to push back on Harris when they were concerned about where she stood on matters. American Jews are also allowed to be concerned about, and "invested" in, the welfare of the country of Israel without them being in the thrall of a foreign power, just like every other nationality and ethnic group within the United States - and just like the Palestinians living in the U.S. are.
