Gun violence in Joe Biden's US sees a sharp escalation...Umm.
According to the U.S. National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the United States conducted 21 million background checks for gun purchases in 2020, a 60 percent increase from 2019 and a record high, surpassing the previous record in 2016 by 5.3 million.2020.
Every 16 hours, a woman is fatally shot by her partner in the United States.
In 1968, the House voted 305-118 and the Senate 70-17 to pass the Gun Control Act. Today, you'd be hard pressed to find a single republican who would would for sensible gun control.
Lots more guns + lots more laws making it lots easier for any idiot to own and carry guns = more gun violence.
Ain't rocket science.
And it's up to Congress, not the president, to legislate gun safety; otherwise you'll be screaming EO overreach (and the courts will strike down his EOs anyway) 'cause freedum!
