Subtitle: Trump Bible restores the US Constitution to its Original Purity- as God Wrote It.

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma teachers are getting a closer look at the God Bless the USA Bible that has been placed in many classrooms across the state. Some were surprised by what they did not see. In the back, the Bibles included the Constitution, but Amendments 11-27 were missing.

Previously, State Superintendent Ryan Walters had said that including the Constitution was an important part of the Bibles, as well as its religious teachings.

“We’ve been clear in our guidance and standards that the bible would be used in its historical context,” said Walters back in January when asking for funding for the Bibles.

Included among Amendments 11-27 is the 13th Amendment, which abolishes slavery, the 19th Amendment, allowing women to vote, the 22nd Amendment, limiting a President to two terms in office, and the 26th Amendment, which lowers the voting age to 18 years old.

KFOR reached out to the publisher of the Bibles, who said, “The decision was made to only include the original founding fathers’ documents, as Amendments 11-27 were added at later dates.”

“It would certainly mislead students if they if they are given this Bible,” said Alex Luchenitser, Associate Vice President & Associate Legal Director for Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

Lawyers for Americans United are currently in the middle of a lawsuit against Walters and the Oklahoma State Department of Education. They argue against adding biblical teachings to the newly approved social studies standards, which are currently on hold.

Luchenitser said that the Bill of Rights and the Constitution should not be included in a Bible.

“That also doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. What that does is it sends a message that the Constitution and religion are intertwined,” said Luchenitser.
