One of the organizers, Shane Trejo of Michigan, 37, said a goal is to persuade conservative Republicans to support the proposed constitutional amendment filed last month by a congressional ally of Trump, Rep. Andy Ogles, R-Tenn.

Ogles’ resolution calls for extending presidential term limits from eight years to 12, meaning that if Trump wins again, he could stay in office until January 2033, when he’d be 86 years old.

OK...let's say this goes forward. First, I don't think he has the vote in Congress (you need 2/3 of both House and Senate). So it's dead before it gets off the ground. But, then, it requires 3/4 of state legislatures to ratify. Again, the Felon won't get that kind of support. I don't think any POTUS could, given the state of partisan division in this country. A similar proposal while Obama was POTUS would have not passed. I can't imagine anyone in the White House being popular enough to get bipartisan support required to pass such an amendment.

Either Ogles doesn't know any of this (even though it is pretty obvious), or it's just a boot-licking move to ingratiate himself to the Felon.
